Motor Vehicle Accident - Sussex Hwy

At 1215 Sussex EOC alerted Station 81, Medic 102 and Trooper 2 for a Motor Vehicle Accident on Sussex Hwy. in the area of Discountland Rd.. Assistant Chief Walker responded in 81 Command and arrived on scene of a 2 vehicle accident with heavy debis in the roadway. EMS crews were treating 2 patients and preparing for transport. Fire Police closed both Southbound lanes of Sussex Hwy.. Tower 81 with Assistant Chief LeCates as officer arrived on scene and began securing the vehicles and removing debris from the roadway. Engine 81-2 arrived and the crew assisted with cleanup. Sussex Hwy. was closed apprx. 45 minutes while crews towed the vehicles and DSP investigated the accident.
