Assist Blades On Working Trailer Fire

On December the 7th at approx. 1443 hours the Blades, Seaford, and Laurel Fire Departments were dispatched to a trailer fire in mobile gardens. Deputy Chief Earl Chaffinch arrived on scene, and found a heavily involved trailer with exposures to propane tanks, and other trailers. Firefighters directed their attention to the venting propane tanks, and extinguishing the fully involved trailer. When the tanks were secure, firefighters moved in and extinguished the remaining hot spots and overhauled the trailer. Deputy Chief Chaffinch placed the incident under control at 1548 hours. While Laurel units were clearing they were diverted to a building fire in their first due, assisted by Delmar and Gumboro Fire Departments. Last 81units were placed back in service at 1645 hours.
