Chicken House fire on Old Hickory Road

On Sunday morning July 7th at 6:46 hours LFD, Delmar and Sharptown were alerted for a structurefire on Old Hickory Road. Asst. Chief Donnie Layton responded as 81 Command. Asst. Chief Dwayne Chaffinch arrived on scene along with Command which reported smoke showing from the "C" side of the building. Eng. 81-4 arrived and began an attack on the fire. The fire was contained to the rear section of the chicken house. Crews from E/T 14 checked for extention throughout the building. Units returned after about 45 minutes.
