At appx. 1:13pm Sussex EOC alerted Stations 81, 71 and 77 for a structure fire at Lowes Campground on Chipmans Pond Road. 81 Command arrived and Chief Hill established command. The first units arriving on scene encountered two structures fully involved and fire driven by high winds and strong gusts spreading toward a third structure and a wooded area. Shortly after starting an attack the third building became involved. Command requested additional Tankers and Brush Trucks to assist. Crews were able to bring the fire under control under difficult conditions.
